I needed a 3 month lease in between leases back in summer of 2020 and they actually had one immediately available on the top floor for an incredibly reasonable monthly rent, seemed too good to be true because almost all require a full year. Super beautiful pool I unfortunately never used. Apartment was fantastic and maintenance was needed only once and they were stellar and swift. Probably the best experience I’ve had with an apartment complex in Richmond!
My boyfriend and I lived here back in 2022. They best way I could describe this place was a nice cover of paint on a rotting wood. Everything is great on the surface but the problems made the space unbearable to live in. Everything is fake wood, fake countertops and fake stainless steel. One- roaches and the exterminator never did a thing. Our patio had rotted wood that was never replaced even after multiple repair orders listed. The majority of my neighbors were awful and I'd be willing to say that it was poor luck on our part but whenever I contacted the landlord, nothing was done even when I reported child abuse case. The police were always around at one time or another. I could never sleep because of the sirens and my neighbors screaming and beating each other. I will say that the management was always very polite and the added gym was a nice addon but it wasn't worth it for the price. When we saw they wanted to raise our rent, we got outta there. Please avoid this place!
Dog attacks, irresponsible dog owners, roaches, rude, dirty, noisy neighbors, dead animals in units, and more.
Me and my dog were attacked by an off leash pit bull being boarded on the property by a resident Rover walker. Me and my dog both had to go to the ER and it's cost me thousands of dollars in medical bills. The walker who lives on the property fled the scene without giving me any info on the dog, like shot records. It took weeks for the office to send a email out reminding residence to leash their dogs, and even when they did, they did not mention the dog attack. In fact, upon investigating, this property has had other dog bites occur in the past. So they know that off leash aggressive dogs are an issue on their property, but they do nothing to fix it. My dog could have been killed.
As soon as I moved in, I found a dead squirrel above my stove. The property and the dog park are always covered in dog poop, even though the office supplies the park with scoopers and bags right in the park. Neighbors are just rude and too lazy to use them. A lot of owners don't leash their dogs and have no control over their animals. There have been several occasions where an off leash dog has ran up to me and my dog on walks with the owner far away.
Neighbors in my building are loud and rude. They slam their doors so hard the entire building shakes. Try to talk to them about it and they give you attitude.
My washer broke down and it took weeks to get a new one and have it installed. The office/maintenance was not good at communicating with me about this. I had to keep calling constantly to ask for updates.
The cabinets in my unit are painted and sticky. Try to wipe them down and the paint peels up. Appliances are old and loud, especially the AC.
Once one of the first floor units in my building's entire glass patio door shattered. It took weeks for them to repair it. They didn't even clean up the broken glass while they were ordering a new door. So there was glass in the grass directly in front of the building for weeks.
The only pros are that maintenance is decently timely and the property manager answers his emails. Everything else has been awful.
i usually don’t write reviews, but I have lived here a year now and today renewed my lease. I’m always busy on the go with working a job and running a business. The team always makes things so easy to deal with. For example putting in a work order, it’s usually done within 2 hours or they will contact with you immediately. I’ve had work orders in other places take days and weeks. The staff is friendly, polite and respect. Uniqe signed me up and made the move easy and renewing easy for me. My concern is I have 2 young kids and I want a safe place to live. This complex gives me just that. I HIGHLY recommend this place as a place to live. Im only moving to a house if I leave. Thank you to all the River vista staff for everything. Y’all are the best. ❤️
I would suggest not living here.
Let me tell you my experience.
1. The amount you pay for these trash apartments is CRAZY!. I was paying almost 1600 for a 1980s stove and no microwave. Bugs coming in and out of my apartment. Ventilation sucks! You can hear people next to you and on top of you. You can hear people outside revving their engines and listening to music out in their cars. We have paint peeling from the doors cause they are too lazy to paint these apartments the correct way. My shower can’t even have suction cup shelves because they PAINTED the tile white to make it look newer. Also the tub is painted as well so that peels.
2. There are so many holes in the front door/ patio door that allow bugs to come in. Roaches are an issue here inside and outside. When you tell them there is bug issue they don’t do anything... Other than call pest control, which doesn’t help.
3. These cheap “hardwood floors” yeah they are peal & stick…they peal up so easily! Also the appliances we are definitely OLD. They need major updating! The windows most of them don’t even open and if they do you probably won’t be able to put it back down or they will just break.
4. Front office. Don’t even call them they aren’t gonna care enough to even try and fix your issues. If you have a question and they don’t know the answer more than likely they will ask if they can call you back…don’t expect a call back cause they won’t! They all need training on customer service and how to treat their residents. Or a whole new management team. Cause Jeff he isn’t doing a very good job in leading his team and training them on basic skills to have in a customer facing environment.
5. Gutters are always gross. There is always debris around your apartment. The sidings on these apartments need to be redone also.
If they ever do come and clean your gutters they will throw all the debris on your patio. They stated they re-paved the apartment roads..don’t be fooled it was not re-paved they just painted it black again lmao. The money we pay to live here you’d think these wouldn’t be an issue. Unfortunately they are.
The only good thing about these apartments is the maintenance team. They usually come fast and try to fix the issue asap.
So If you’re thinking of renting these apartments don’t. Just save your money and go somewhere else.
It has been a roller coaster to say the least. $1,400 a month for a one bedroom where the neighbors smoke soo much weed the smell comes through the wall, you hear EVERYTHING in every unit around you, and a/c issues. The location is ok, but …
Haven't moved there yet; but Ms. Alicya was very honest and kind as we toured the complex. We appreciate ever detail she spoke about and her patience. She even went beyond when we told her about our over sized section, to show use her own. Much respect and admiration to her 👍🏾 …
My car was side swiped last night in the parking lot...a unique color from a resident's car paint is on my car. I can't prove it so I will just suffer the loss. The car in question has expired out of state tags that expired 2 years ago. …
